Swimming Lessons!

Jake started swimming lessons today. We are taking them through community education. The pool is less than 5 minutes away from our house, which is perfect! Auntie Jamie met Jake and I at the pool. She took some pictures of us swimming. She has more on her camera, so I only have a few pictures. Jake had a blast! It was quite the shock getting into the water. Definitely not as warm as Grandma and Papa's pool! I think I had the most trouble getting used to it. It was a pretty large class, with kids ranging from 6 months-4 years. The instructor did a great job dealing with all the people in the pool. We started off getting the kids used to the water. We were going around the pool in a large circle for most of the class. There were songs, bubble blowing, kicking, and splashing. Jake did a great job of "floating" on his back and tummy. He didn't really pay any attention when I was showing him how to blow bubbles. A hard concept to teach, I guess. We were able to play with some toys during the last 5 minutes. He loved scooping water into the yellow bucket. I am looking forward to next week! Jake was asleep by the time we got home...less than 5 minutes!
