Our Journey to Expand

Joe and I have been trying to expand our family since the summer of 2009. We thought we would not have any problems, since we got pregnant so easily with Jake.  Well, that is definitely not the case now.  There is no real explanation as to why we are having difficulties.  We have been going to a reproductive medicine clinic since the beginning of 2011.  We have taken a few breaks along the way as this whole process is pretty time consuming and stressful.  


Here is what we have tried so far:

  • Clomid (without any monitoring-3 rounds)
  • Clomid with monitoring (3 rounds)
  • Ovidrel
  • IUI (total of 6 times-two rounds were back-to-back)
  • Menopur (3 rounds)
  • Follistim (3 rounds)
  • Progesterone
We will begin our IVF Journey in May 2013


Jake still is asking for a brother or a sister...it just kills me that I cannot give him that.
